High Volume Manufacturing and Distribution

This company, established only ten years ago, is the market leader in the supply of plumbing products to the major multiples, eg B & Q and Focus. The operation requires the ability to receive a large volume of orders at the correct price, despatch and invoice in a highly efficient manner.

In addition, correct up-to-date stock figures are an essential aspect of the system. All orders from the multiples are received via an EDI link where customer purchase orders are converted directly to sales orders, without any manual intervention.

Sales invoices are then returned to the customer over the same EDI link. This company use the CBS Bar-Time system which includes Time and Attendance, Shop Floor Data Capture, and Bar Code tracking.

The requirement is to handle the total "Supply Chain" and cope with multiple currencies. In addition, the system automatically faxes many documents directly to customers, suppliers and their transport company.
